We are an Argentine company with a regional outlook and over three decades of experience in maritime logistics solutions for the energy sector.

History

1987

Bahía Grande S.A. is founded in Argentina by Guillermo Jacob, becoming a pioneer in squid fishing.

2008

Using our background in vessel operation and management, we began to diversify into the Oil & Gas sector, beginning with offshore support and oil tankers.

2011-2016

Fleet expansion through incorporation of oil tankers for YPF.

2018

Contract start of Normand Commander, the most up-to-date multipurpose vessel in the country. The AHTS BG Warrior also joins the fleet.

2021-2024

New operations in Brazil and Uruguay. BG Agnes joins the fleet. Outstanding projects in the South Cone.

Our founder, Guillermo Jacob, was a pioneer in Argentina’s squid fishing development and fostered partnerships with international shipowners and fishing groups. He built teams (onboard and ashore) with great human and technical commitment and professionalism, some of whom remain in Bahía Grande to this day.
